About | Ahmed Faizan Naveed
Faizan Naveed (b.1989) is a non-disciplinary practitioner. His experiments range from designing spaces to exhibiting "Living Sculptures”, to orchestrating classrooms and collaborations with people from various fields. He is driven by everyday minuscule details and the agencies that affect our understanding of the world around us.
Faizan earned his undergraduate in visual arts in 2012 from Beaconhouse National University with a distinction award. He is a UNESCO scholar for MPhil. in Art Education and in 2020 was also an Awesome Grant finalist.
His projects are shown in Pakistan and internationally in group and solo presentations including biennales and festivals. His latest presentation took place at Castelnuovo di Porto, Rome, Italy in 2022. He was a participant in the Imago Mundi Project at Venice Biennale, in 2017. He co-curated an exhibition Mapping the Genius for a school of autism in 2019. In 2023, Faizan made works for The Upside Space, hence expanding his practice into the metaverse.
For the past 10 years, Faizan has been affiliated with various educational institutions in Lahore, Pakistan where he currently lives and works.
