Autumn Leaves

2017 - 22

If photography is a record of what is seen, then I am interested in how I can see it.

Considering the camera as an extension of the human eye, I can capture reality in a distinct way from the naked eye. I am investigating these possibilities whiles constantly looking at the subject. One frame, the negative, acts as a fragment of a memory it records. It is as though I am looking at multiple reflections of an individual, all at the same time.

I hope these images bring us closer to the materiality of time and offer some intimacy with reality.
