Does an artwork need to have a physical form, or can it be an idea alone?

Artists do not always have the liberty or space, or funding to produce the kind of art that they want. But sometimes, our thoughts materialize in front of our eyes.

So, what makes art truly our own?

In an attempt to answer that question, I am claiming this structure as my artwork in its entirety.  This public sculpture consists of metal, electric bulbs, human labor, and the economy and weighs a hundred tons. I did not arrange anything myself, physically or otherwise for the construction. What I am adding is another meaning to it through my thoughts and ideation as the medium. Thus, claiming the existence of this structure as my work of art. 

The artwork seizes to exist when an advertisement is placed on it but reappears when it is removed. This one can be viewed/experienced E/11, Islamabad.
