The idea of hanging an upside-down tree came to me when I visited the chemical plant at a functional shoe factory. The space gave me the idea. The ceiling of the plant is 43 feet high, and the tip of the tree almost touches the ground. The tree used is a Terminalia, stolen from a housing society. It was destined to be cut down as the land was soon to be constructed on. It gives us a new perspective as the tip is close to us and the roots are far. While hanging, the tree did not lose its shape but as the days passed leaves slowly fell down and a layer of dust started to gather.
