Letters To The Land
In the beginning we had plants and forests; nature untainted by any human intervention. Then came settlements; whether historical or current civilization water remains to be the source of and center of all life. Now we have the conclusion; a
result of complete urbanization; a takeover. In today's time when nature is being organized to serve our artificial constructs rather than the other way around. A relevantly recent concept that we might all have to get used to. The only period during which our structures respond and harmonize with the rest of the environment
are during these stages of construction.
This series titled, Letters to the Land, is of places personally visited by me through the years. It is primarily raw and incomplete structures in vast landscapes that drew me. This is my response to and an observation of the dialogue generated by them. This is particularly regarding new age urbanization, architecture and the general development of the land. I used large scale negatives, as they contain the very feel of the image; raw and in the process, for this is a dialogue, not a document.
